Miss Maxine

Teacher

Maxine was trained by my mother from the age of 2, and I also trained my sister Michele who is now the principal .I went to the famous Aida Foster school (Jean Simmons, Barbara Windsor )in Golders Green from the age of 8 - 16, and had many professional parts playing Ngana in South Pacific at Drury Lane theatre at the age of 12 ,duetting with Frankie Howard at the London Palladium, and the last one as Barbara Kelly and Bernard Braden’s daughter at the Lyric Theatre in Shaftesbury Ave.
I decided - much to my mum and dads surprise to give up on my professional career to follow my dream of teaching at our wonderful school, and haven’t regretted it ever.
I taught for over 60 years and am very proud to watch so many of the pupils I taught appearing in the West End.
Maxine still to this day takes pride in her students and teaching helping with choreography , our fantastic shows and giving the best technique to some of our youngest pupils.
I still take a great interest in the school and I’m thrilled at our wonderful reputation.

Miss Sam

Ballet,Tap and PBT Teacher

I trained at the Morgan Aslanoff School, where I competed in many dance competitions and represented the school in the All England finals on numerous occasions. I also had the amazing opportunity to dance in Miss Dance of Great Britain.
I have my BTEC National diploma in childcare studies.  This is when I realized my true love was teaching dance.   I started my dance teacher training with Yvonne Goute (President of the IDTA) where I gained my graduate Tap and Ballet and continued my training to gain my associate and Licentiate in Tap with the IDTA.  I have been assisting and now teaching Ballet, Tap and Modern at the Morgan Aslanoff School under the guidance and inspiration of Michele and Maxine for many years.  I have choregraphed numbers for dance competitions and dance shows.
I also work in a local primary school where I am head of dance and P.E , this is where I development my training with the British gymnastics gaining my introductory and Intermediate levels for school and tiger team (looking at children’s physical development.)  I have lots of experience of teaching students with many different needs and finding strategies to help children gain their full potential.
To add to my growth as a teacher I have trained to teach Progressive Ballet Technique classes.
I love teaching and watching past and present students of the Morgan Aslanoff School grow in confidents and reach their full potential.
